Kaufman Astoria Studios hosted the New York portion of “Hope for Haiti Now” broadcast live January 22, 2010 on all major networks. Kaufman Astoria Studios donated its stages for the MTV Networks-sponsored show. In New York, the telethon was hosted by Wyclef Jean with performances by Bruce Springsteen, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Shakira, Madonna and Sting. George Clooney and Anderson Cooper also hosted “Hope for Haiti Now” from Los Angeles and Haiti with additional live performances by Jay-Z, Rihanna, Bono, Coldplay and The Edge. All donations directly benefited Haiti through the following organizations, Oxfam America, Partners in Health, Red Cross, UNICEF, Wyclef's Yele Haiti Foundation, the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund and United Nations World Food Program. Kaufman Astoria Studios president, Hal G.
