Masters From Their Day
KAS Music & Sound, the legendary recording studio in the Kaufman Astoria Studios complex, was chosen for the first episode of Benchmark Media Systems Inc. new web series “Masters From Their Day” www.MastersFromTheirDay.com. Engineers and musicians were challenged to produce a “release-quality” single in a one day session. The name of the series alludes to the mastered track from the day-long session and to the studio ‘masters’ who pioneered the craft.
Produced by Elias Gwinn of Benchmark, the first episode featured the band Rubblebucket, KAS Executive Creative Director Joe Castellon and Alex Lipsen as sound engineers on the project and three-time Grammy-award winning mastering engineer Gavin Lurssen. |
